I know we’re still in the heat of summer – but guess what? September will be here in less than two weeks! Sometimes I think about September the way many think about January. It’s a time to recalibrate. Maybe it’s like when we were kids headed back to school. The start of something new. A fresh start. It’s why we talk about monthly resolutions and encourage each other to come to ReBoot classes. We don’t have to wait for a new year to define how we’re going to become a better version of ourselves.
You Impress Me
I’ve said it before, but I truly am impressed with how hard everyone has worked this summer. Class attendance has been at an all-time high, and the number of members coming in and out of the gym on their own is just as strong.
Be Kind to Yourself
So as you set your September goals, be kind to yourself. Ignore any negative thinking and be proud of what you’ve achieved. And, if you’re really not happy with where you are at this point in the year – maybe you didn’t lose that weight, or run that 5K. Forgive yourself and move on. Period! Use this season to think about yourself and what you need to end the year strong. And remember, ENVISION is your fitness community. If you need a pep talk or a pat on the back, believe me when I tell you there is someone right across the room ready to lift you up. I see it happen every day!
